Dispatch Officer (Syspro) Featured

A manufacturing company of high voltage products based in JHB East is looking for a Dispatch Officer.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

▪ Grade 12,

▪ Diploma/Certificate in Logistics or Operations Management

▪ Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in warehousing

▪ Computer course – Microsoft Office,

▪ Reading and understanding of Drawing and procedures,

▪ Incident Investigation / Root Cause Analysis,

▪ Excellent planning and leadership abilities,

▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

▪ HV Product knowledge and experience will be an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

▪ Liaise with relevant departments (Services, Commercial and Operations) in order to ensure that all deliveries and collections are scheduled appropriately,

▪ Responsible for ensuring that delivery notes are signed by relevant parties prior dispatching any consignment,

▪ Ensure that trucks coming into our premises comply with the applicable company policies and procedures including other requirements such as smoking policies, emergency policies, loading procedures, etc.

▪ Ensure that visitors or drivers entering the facility are signed in by the Security, correct PPE is worn when required and escorted when accessing the factories and offices,

▪ Responsible for reporting of incident (damaged to property or product, chemical spillages, misconduct or injuries) before the end of shift,

▪ Ensure that goods are loaded as per the loading procedure.

▪ Shall ensure that complete records of dispatched goods are filed and can be verified.

Responsible for the management of company motor fleet,

▪ Shall ensure that motor fleet are properly maintained within their respective maintenance plan,

▪ Shall ensure that the motor fleet are used for business purpose only,

▪ Shall ensure that all motor fleet are reflected on the company Asset Register,

▪ Shall ensure that the departmental manager is notified of any changes in the status of the assets under the department’s control. This must be done on the prescribed form and include the following:

▪ Shall ensure that the correct cost element and description are being used before authorizing any requisitions,

▪ Shall ensure that complete records of all motor fleet are kept, verified and balanced regularly,
