PA to National Sales Director


An automotive manufacturing company is looking for an Executive PA to be based in Sandton, Gauteng to support the National Sales Director.

Brief Role Description

  • Based in Sandton and reporting into the NSO Director, the successful incumbent will be responsible to support the role and responsibility of the NSO Director with co-ordination, preparation, and administration of relevant NSO activities to ensure operational efficiency and underpin achievement of NSO objectives and support strategies

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Providing primary support to the NSO Director, and when required, to the senior management team, on all NSO related business tasks
  • Supporting the NSO Director in new initiatives and projects, researching and assessing information, compiling recommendations and presentation material which contribute to business development and improvement.
  • Assisting the NSO Director with readiness for key meetings including supporting information and one on one briefings
  • Co-ordination of regular NSO vorlage, reports and ad-hoc presentations as required to support business growth and Group meetings e.g. Business, Financial Reviews
  • Undertaking the analysis and compilation of information as requested by NSO Director
  • Co-ordination of DRM meetings including agenda, presentations, minutes and follow-up items
  • Co-ordination and management of twice annual Business Review with K-GVA
  • Planning of annual NSO meeting roster and timing rhythm
  • Reconciling and monitoring departmental expenses against budget to maximize budget efficiency and adherence
  • Co-ordination of common (Group) activities with cross-divisional colleagues and teams to agree outputs and taking responsibility for effective planning and monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of colleagues and external contacts at all levels across the NSO Director’s scope of work, to ensure effective co-ordination of information and activity

Qualification requirements

A formal 3-year National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce/ Business Management/ Finance/Marketing from a recognized tertiary institution

Experience Needed

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the motor industry.


  • A good knowledge of processes, structures, policies and business operations from a systems and process perspective
  • Sound understanding of the motor industry and competitive environment.

  • Masters/Honour’s Degree
  • Experience in Brand Management and Dealer interfacing areas.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience at Supervisory/ Specialist level is advantageous.
