Finance Manager Featured

A well known ICT Management consulting firm is searching for a Finance Manager based in Johannesburg reporting directly to the Regional CFO. The Finance Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing full set of monthly local management and statutory accounts
• Review and complete financial transactions and related activities in Oracle Fusion and FCCS application
• Perform monthly financial analysis and report financial performance (actuals vs budget)
• Ensure monthly accounts are prepared in accordance with IFRS
• Review and approve financial transactions prepared by the financial team
• Ensure all recons and workings supporting financial statements are completed timeously and accurately and that all reconciling items are cleared timeously
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure accounts payable are aligned to approved budget codes and relevant budget owners have authorised same
• Review and authorise monthly accounts receivable related to client billing and invoices
• Assist with monthly payroll processing
• Review monthly tax workings related to payroll taxes/VAT and e-file same
• Support annual budget cycle
• Support external annual statutory financial audit
• Ensure local compliance with Group Finance policies
• Ad hoc financial reporting as required
• Ensure accuracy of work and others
• Maintain company asset register

Minimum Experience required

• Qualified accountant with a recognised professional accounting body (CIMA /ACCA /CA (SA)
• A degree in accounting and/or finance
• More than 3 years post qualification and financial management experience
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS
• Strategic thinker and highly analytical
• People management skills
• Computer literacy with a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel
• Knowledge and experience in financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
• Accurate with strong attention to detail
• Ability to function independently and under pressure
• Ability to filter information and assess priorities
• Logical thinker
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of financial software such as Oracle Fusion
