A well known food manufacturing company based in JHB East is looking for a dynamic Millwright Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all equipment to required standards and respond to production needs and equipment failures.
  • Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
  • Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.
  • Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
  • Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
  • Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
  • Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
  • Develop training material to train operators on how to efficiently operate equipment.
  • Identify critical spare parts for equipment’s and ensure availability of the parts to reduce breakdowns.
  • Investigate the Root cause of major breakdowns.
  • Identifying and reporting potential asset care problems during inspections.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • At lest Matric or equivalent/N3 with a Trade Test as a Millwright.
  • Language: Strong proficiency in English and the local language.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Millwright in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience PLCs and AC drives is required. Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills in both mechanical and electrical areas are essential. Prepared to work overtime and do call-outs to meet production needs or address equipment failures.
