An automotive OEM based in Johannesburg is looking for a Pricing Manager on a 12 months contract
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Carry out functions relating to pricing with regards to all vehicle maintenance pricing aspects in the business.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Model Pricing:
- Assess initial pricing of new models vs that of other similar models
- Confirm position relative to competitors
- Ensure pricing position supports vehicle maintenance market requirements , volume and budget objectives
- Obtain formal agreement (internal) on proposal
- Implement final agreed price to all channels for vehicle maintenance sales
- Communicate official pricing bulletin to dealers
Quarterly Pricing:
- Ensure pricing is updated on the Miles system to ensure no losses due to wrong pricing being used
- Investigate the latest RV and maintenance pricing vs competitors and the market
- Provide pricing to Experian so as to ensure external comparisons can be completed.
Operational Pricing and general support:
- Ensure pricing bulletins are set up & implemented correctly.
- Perform Daily, Weekly detailed audits.
- Kaizen initiatives to reduce risk and optimise operational pricing activities.
- Ensure compliance with formal audit requirements
- Support the sales team with any deviations as and when necessary, including preparing supporting documentation
- Support all pricing aspects of tenders etc when necessary
- Prepare for quarterly pricing committee.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- National Diploma / Degree – Commerce / Marketing degree or any other finance related qualification
- ±5 years relevant experience with understanding of vehicle specifications is an advantage.
- Proficient in advanced MS Excel
- Proficient in SAP
- PC literacy (MS Office package advanced) is essential
