Overview

Our client is a leading software development company specialising in creating innovative and user-friendly web applications. We are currently seeking an Intermediate React Developer to join our dynamic and talented team. As an Intermediate React Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Node.js and either SQL Server or Postgres.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features and enhancements in React-based web applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop reusable components and libraries for future use.
  • Optimise application performance to ensure fast load times and smooth user experiences.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues promptly.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in React development and related technologies.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing web applications using React, with a focus on building complex UI components, handling state management, and integrating third-party libraries.
  • Proven ability to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that adhere to design specifications.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a deep understanding of frontend development principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of the React ecosystem, including React hooks, context API, and component lifecycle.
  • Experience in implementing responsive designs and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
  • Solid understanding of modern web development practices, such as modular code architecture, code optimisation, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in version control systems, preferably Git, for collaborative development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and QA engineers.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with server-side rendering and Next.js.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
