Intermediate SQL Server T-SQL Developer

Overview

The candidate will need to learn and understand the current database designs and then assist the various front-end teams with custom stored procedures for their applications C#, mobile and web.

The individual also needs to be able to work in a team and work to tight deadlines. If deadlines are not going to be met, overtime will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
  • Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
  • Assist various front-end teams with stored procedures
  • Provide support to our client sites as the need arises

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Proven experience as a SQL Server T-SQL Developer (5 years plus)
  • In-depth knowledge of T-SQL including complex SQL queries (e.g. CTE’s) and best practices
  • Assisting in database design and technical specifications
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Familiarity with RDBMS principles, database design and normalization
  • Experience with complex query design, stored procedures, views and functions
  • Understanding of index design and T-SQL performance tuning techniques
  • Attention to detail
  • Any DBA experience is a plus

Package & Remuneration

R70 000 pm negotiable
