We are currently recruiting for our client who is a supplier of Renewable Energy Equipment based in Johannesburg. They support the solar industry with our specialist knowledge and experience and, most particularly, we support our people, without whom none of the above would be possible. Key responsibilities
- Creditor Control: Maintain suppliers and supplier ledger to ensure accounts are up to date.
- Procurement Administration: Process purchase orders and invoices onto the ERP system.
- Reporting: Integrate corporate reporting requirements and report on supply chain activities.
- Inventory Control: Maintain master data and monitor stock levels to ensure accuracy.
- Procurement: Facilitate procurement from international and local suppliers.
- Logistics: Manage inbound and outbound freight activities.
- Manufacturing: Oversee in-house and outsourced fabrication processes.
- Quality Control: Manage QA/QC process to ensure quality.
- Maintain stock levels and prevent stock outages.
- Develop supply chain solutions for new products.
- Manage procurement and logistics for local and international projects.
- Maintain CRM/PM data for active projects.
- Manage project risk and documentation.
- Implement and maintain global ISO procedures and policies.
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships.
- Develop approved supplier list.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best quality and pricing.
- Understand market environment to support management with strategy.
- Develop risk management strategy related to SCM.
Minimum educational and experience required
- Relevant tertiary qualification in commercial field (supply chain, logistics, purchasing, finance or Industrial engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the solar industry or a civil, structural, or mechanical engineering environment.
- Experience with local and international logistics and understanding of associated commercial concepts.
- Strong understanding of commercial activities and concepts related to technical product sales.
- Proficiency in project management concepts and activities.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical, structural, and civil engineering.
- Genuine interest in the Solar PV industry.
- Professional approach with impeccable attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans, additional languages beneficial.
