They are currently looking for a Technical Director for their Architecture division based in Pretoria

Job Description

  • The Technical Director is responsible for the development of technical capabilities of an architectural discipline by implementing the business plans in particular of raising the technical capabilities of local staff as well as sharing knowledge across the business.
  • Serves as lead architect on mid-to-large size international projects, providing specialised technical input to studies and design for specific area of expertise.
  • Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others and supports the development of technical proposals.
  • Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
  • Able to proactively identify opportunities to support the discipline area’s overall growth locally as part of the Enterprise Capabilities offering.
  • Provides technical leadership for a speciality and is considered to be a fully capable professional in their field.
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of architecture principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences.
  • Resolves important questions and plans and coordinates work.
  • Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.
  • The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually result from progressive experience.
  • Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.

Qualifications

  • Qualification: MArch Professional
  • Registered with SACAP as a Professional Architect
  • Years of Experience: 10+ Preferred Software: AutoCAD/Revit/Microsoft Office programs, e.g. Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
