Warehouse Supervisor
A well known food packaging company across Southern Africa is looking for a dynamic and experienced Warehouse & Supply Chain Supervisor to lead warehouse operations while coordinating key elements of the supply chain. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations:
- Manage theoretical vs. actual stock, ensuring accurate stock control and reporting
- Ensure that stock is packed neatly and stored in designated areas
- Oversee loading/offloading, product movement, and stock handling to meet safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure timely and accurate product distribution to customers and production
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies identified by stores controllers and assistants
- Monitor stock levels to ensure continuity of supply
- Conduct stock takes (daily, weekly, and monthly)
- Maintain accurate documentation related to stock control and customer returns
- Hold weekly team meetings to review performance and address issues
- Lead and supervise a team, promoting a high-performance culture
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Provide systematic, tactical, and strategic coordination across procurement, raw materials, finished goods, and distribution
- Manage raw material stock and monitor material usage and wastage
- Oversee finished goods inventory according to company standards
- Review and improve processes to drive efficiency, speed, and reliability
- Add value to both internal and external customers by optimizing service delivery
- Foster collaboration and trust between internal teams and external partners
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years warehouse experience with at least 2 years in a warehouse or supply chain supervisory role, preferably in food packaging or FMCG would be advantageous
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industrial best practices
- Proven ability to drive efficiency, optimize inventory, and manage teams effectively
