Our client is one of the leading manufacturing company providing high-quality packaging solutions for various industries. They are currently seeking a qualified Process Maintenance Technician (Injection Moulding) to join their injection moulding team and play a key role in maintaining and optimizing their machinery.
Key Responsibilities: –
Process Responsibilities
- Set up, start up, and optimize injection moulding machines and associated equipment.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Conduct troubleshooting on machines and processes to resolve quality or performance issues.
- Ensure product changeovers and mould changes are completed safely and efficiently.
- Support new product trials, process improvements, and capability studies.
- Maintain accurate process records, machine settings, and change logs.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machines, robotics, conveyors, chillers, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs, and replacements.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment and tooling.
- Inspect and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Work with the maintenance team to implement planned maintenance schedules (PMs).
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, quality, and food hygiene standards.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring breakdowns.
- Maintain tools, spares, and workshop housekeeping according to company standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Trade Tested).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a food packaging or plastics injection moulding environment.
- Proven experience in injection moulding setup, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in preventative maintenance, fault finding, and equipment repair.
- Familiar with food safety, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
- Computer literacy (experience with maintenance systems an advantage).
- Willing to work overtime, and call-outs as needed.
