KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER (SALARY UP TO R800K CTC)

A key accounts manager in the manufacturing packaging industry manages and grows key accounts, develops new business, and ensures sales targets are met. They also maintain relationships with customers, identify opportunities for upselling, and collaborate with internal teams. responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, while also identifying opportunities for growth:

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building relationships – KAMs are the main point of contact for clients, and are responsible for developing trust and strong relationships with them.
  • Identifying opportunities – KAMs look for opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing clients. They also identify new business opportunities among existing customers.
  • Strategic planning – KAMs develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Communication with stakeholders – KAMs serve as a link between clients and internal teams, including sales support, supply chain, and product development. They also resolve customer issues and complaints.
  • Reporting – KAMs prepare regular reports on progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Industry trends – KAMs stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and provide insights and recommendations to clients.

 

The Successful Applicant must have

  • A Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in Account Management/ Business Development in the industrial/manufacturing sector in tailor-made process is mandatory
  • Previous experiences in the packaging manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • A strong technical interest and curiosity with the willingness to become a technical expert/ partner for the customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven attitude with a strong passion for sales and a nice drive.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and in writing

TOOLAMKER (INJECTION MOULDING)

 

Boikago’s client in the Packaging Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join their team in Germiston.

Responsibilities

  • CNC plastic injection mould making
  • Servicing injection moulds
  • Diagnosing & repairing mould problems

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualification is essential. Must be a trade tested toolmaker.
  • Experience in repairing thin wall injection moulds
  • Must be able to work independently
  • At least 5 Years experience post apprenticeship as a qualified toolmaker in the plastics industry
  • Matric & pass with maths. Technical matric / an advantage
  • CNC experience
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling software
  • Able to interpret technical drawings
  • Active and in good health
  • Have good eyesight
  • Good communication & maths skills

Engineer in Training- 1 YR CONTRACT

gains hands-on experience by assisting experienced engineers in analyzing manufacturing processes, designing improvements, conducting tests, documenting findings, and learning about production equipment and quality control procedures, all while working towards professional engineering licensure. plan and design plant layouts and facilities, study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations

Key responsibilities of an EIT in Manufacturing:

  • Process observation and analysis: Observe and document existing manufacturing processes, identifying potential areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Data collection and analysis: Gather data from production lines, analyze trends, and present findings to senior engineers to support decision-making.
  • Project support: Assist in the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes or equipment upgrades, including creating technical drawings and specifications.
  • Quality control: Conduct quality checks on products during production, identifying and reporting defects to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Technical documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports on project findings, including data analysis and recommendations.
  • Equipment troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving issues with production machinery, coordinating with maintenance teams when necessary.
  • Training and development: Participate in formal training programs to gain knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, industry standards, and company-specific procedures.

Mechanical Project Engineer

  • will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components within a production environment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards by collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing technical aspects of projects, and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes are implemented throughout the product lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for mechanical engineering projects.
    • Manage project scope, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and make adjustments as needed.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, production engineers, quality control, and procurement to ensure project alignment.
  • Design and Development:
    • Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and machinery using CAD software, considering manufacturability, cost, and performance requirements.

  • Technical Documentation:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BSc or B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
