They are looking to fill a Key Accounts Manager : Africa position based in Sandton

Brief Role Description

playing a critical role of developing and implementing sales strategy to grow Corporate & Government business in Africa (excl. South Africa) region (Direct Sales). This would include but not limited to corporate sales via dealer network, Government sales to National, Regional, Local Government Departments, Government sales to State Owned Enterprises and Fleet Leasing Companies. Additionally, the role will support efforts of the regionalization Product, Price, and Volume analysts to ensure smooth integration of  Group Africa as a region as and when necessary.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Corporate Sales strategy to grow fleet sales and retention of existing customers.
  • Analyze existing purchasing structures & financing methods within corporate market.
  • Identify sales opportunities on a Country level
  • Develop Dealer incentives/ rebates/ loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities
  • Develop communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about the vehicle products.
  • Manage relationship with leasing & key account customer portfolios
  • Review business systems & operational processes that support sales processes, ensure continuous improvements
  • Collaborate with Dealer Academy to inform training concepts and content in relation to Fleet so that the Academy develops appropriate training for the Dealer network.
  • Continuously share information with internal colleagues, including Corporate Sales Forecasts on a bi-monthly basis, to ensure a coordinated and collaborative approach to Fleet business.
  • Benchmark competitor activities, conducting market intelligence and gathering information that would assist in formulating new strategies and counter initiatives.
  • Contribute to development of activities to ensure maximum exploitation of Country government tenders.
  • Build meaningful relationships with key decision-makers & senior management within Government, State Owned Enterprises & Fleet Management Leasing companies.
  • Positive working relationship with Government/ Leasing customers through effective communication and query resolution.
  • Always maintain compliancy requirements.
  • Support regionalization team (Product, Pricing and Volume Planning analysts) in fulfilling any duties as and when necessary.
  • Support Product, Pricing and Volume Planning analyst where and when necessary, with their task.

Qualification requirements

A formal 3-year Bachelor`s Degree/National Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution, preferably in Commerce/Finance/Marketing/Business Management

Experience needed

  • 3 Years financial or market analyst experience
  • 3 Years supervisor experience in sales environment
  • 5 Years motor industry experience within some of the following fields:
  • Sales Steering
  • Business Management
  • Brand Management

Essentials

  • Confidence to present & negotiate with Dealer Management, Senior Public Management, Senior Management within Corporates
  • Ability to leverage relationships and network within the corporate customer arena
  • Strong strategic thinker who is influential, persuasive, and tenacious

Added advantage

  • Dealer retail and or key account experience will be advantageous.
  • Experience in dealing with Government and corporates will be advantageous.
  • Experience in Sub Sahara and/or North Africa region advantageous
